PVDF Homopolymers
Two distinct product lines produced by two different polymerization processes.
|
PVDF Copolymers
|
HYLAR® PVDF
- Emulsion Polymerization
- ASTM D 3222, Type 1
- Latex Particle Diameter < 1 µm
- Finished by Coagulation, Drying, and Grinding
- Powder Particle Diameter - 10 µm
SOLEF® PVDF
- Suspension Polymerization
- ASTM D 3222, Type 2
- Suspended Particle Diameter from 20 µm to 150 µm
- Finished by Drying and Pelletizing
- Powder Particle Diameter - 20-150 µm
- Narrower Molecular Weight Distribution
- Less head-to-tail inversion in the chain
|
SOLEF® PVDF
- General Characteristics
- Broad range of crystallinity; 20-60%
- More flexible than homopolymers
- HFP Copolymers
- 11000 series, heterogenous HFP distribution, 10% HFP
- 20000 series, more homogenous HFP distribution,
hence lower crystallinity, 8-15% HFP
- CTFE Copolymers - 30000 series
- Strongly heterogenous copolymer
- 10, 15, and 20% CTFE
- Broad use temperature range, down to -30°C
