Bioprocessing Membranes
Solvay’s fluoropolymers and sulfone polymers are used to make MF and UF flat sheet and hollow fiber membranes for a wide range of bioprocessing and medical filtration applications.

Food and Beverage Processing Membranes
Solvay’s fluoropolymers and sulfone polymers are certified for food contact and are frequently used in applications using MF, UF, NF and RO filtration.

Gas Seperation Membranes
Many of today’s gas separation membranes are made using sulfone polymers and fluoropolymers because of several key performance attributes. These high-performance polymers may also have a good fit with emerging polymer membrane applications.

Hemodialysis Membranes
Udel® polysulfone is used around the world to make hemodialysis membranes, which serve as artificial kidneys for patients with end stage renal disease. Polysulfone has become the polymer of choice for this life-saving application, offering advantages over cellulose acetate.

Water Treatment Membranes
High-Pressure Filtration:  Udel polysulfone has long been the industry standard for making the support layers used in the production of RO and NF thin-film composite membranes. Today, leading RO/NF membrane manufacturers around the world use Udel P-3500 LCD MB in high-pressure water filtration applications.

Low-Pressure Filtration:  Solef PVDF has become an industry standard for the production of submerged UF and MF hollow fiber membrane systems, especially in the rapidly growing membrane bioreactor (MBR) segment.
