SOLEF® PVDF as membrane Resin

In general

  • More than 10 years of successful use in the membrane industry.
  • Extremely pure polymer which contains no stabilizers, plasticizers, lubricants, or flame-retardant additives.
  • Large choice of grades (homopolymers, copolymers, new copolymers…).
  • Research and Development team at your service to answer your questions, and, if needed, develop new grades to answer your specific needs.
  • Available in powder or pellet forms.

Chemical Resistance

  • Stable to wide pH levels (from 1 to 11).
  • Soluble in industrial solvents that are suitable for membrane manufacturing.
  • Excellent oxidative stability allowing long term use of the membranes.

Mechanical properties

  • Chemical structure provides very good fiber robustness.

Thermal properties

  • High temperature capabilities (continuous use temperature up to 150°C) and excellent ageing resistance.

Membrane Manufacturing

  • Allows reproducible formation of good quality membranes with sufficient flux and fiber strength.
  • Forms membranes with different pore sizes, with proper choice of pore formers, viscosity and gelation conditions.
  • Soluble in several industrial solvents that are suitable for membrane manufacturing. Good stability of the solutions.
  • Wide range of molecular weights available allows to reach the right solution viscosity for the different manufacturing processes.
  • Powder easy to handle in a safely way as it is not volatile.
